Passion for Fashion

Passion for Fashion

It was a passion for fashion that lead me into becoming a bridal seamstress, and after 25 years I made the leap in my career by opening my very own bridal boutique in June 2012-Accapella Bridal .

Just shy of two years of opening the doors of Accapella Bridal, I made a decision to personally view and study about how and why the collection come together by going  all the way to Milan, where I attended the Si’ Sposa Italia Collezioni bridal Expo. The expo featured the 2015 bridal collections from the biggest international names in bridal couture, and names that are found on the racks at Accapella Bridal. It was the most amazing experience to meet the designers like Justin Alexander and Lusan Mandongus and viewing their 2015 collection first hand on the runway in Milan”. Touring the Atelier Aimee designer house and seeing the gowns being made with their laces and beading and intricate designs was my idea of heaven.`I had to pinch myself when I heard from the designers  themselves that they could see my passion I had for bridal couture, and was blown away when they told me they could tell I was an experienced bridal seamstress from the way I selected the gowns.`The highest complement I could ever been given. It`s like hearing that from a celebrity`.Before I left Australia, everybody told me how tired I was going to be given it was such a long way for a 5 day trip. I can say though, that each day I woke up knowing exactly what I had to see and who to meet that day. There was so much excitement and adrenalin pumping through me that I didn`t feel tired at all. When it`s just you in your own business, sometimes the days are long, you get tired, and it can be really challenging. After this trip I can say that I`m so incredibly passionate for what I experienced and what I get to do everyday that I couldn`t wait to bring to back to mine own little corner of Wollongong at Accapella Bridal`.
