Hi Brides to be. My bride Tegan married 22-2-2014 . When Tegan came into my bridal boutique I knew she would be back . Tegan wearing a Peter Trends Bridal dress called Syria . It was the perfect dress for Tegan with no alterations to be done at all. Tegan being a pear shaped bride this was the perfect dress for her shape .
When a bride comes into my boutique and a dress fits and suits her body shape, I can't help myself by taking a photo. This bride to be is wearing an Essense of Australia D1598 . This lace A-line dress with V - neckline and cap sleeves is great for most body shapes. It is always great to see real brides in a wedding dress than the model in the gown
As women, we understand what it means to have a love affair with shoes....and love at first sight too! It's the same love you hope to come across when it comes to your wedding dress isn't it? That feeling in your gut that tells you it's the right one? But what happens when you fall in love with the shoe first....
Question: How important is it for the first time a groom looks a his bride in her dress to be on their wedding day? A few months ago was a first for me when a bride came looking for her gown with her mum.....and her future husband. In all my years of dressmaking. I've never had a groom come for fittings.
Can I ask why the cotton gloves?
A bridal boutique is the last place people expect to have to wear cotton gloves but it’s something that I insist on at Accapella Bridal. Through all the years of altering bridal gowns, I’ve seen so many brides that have bought dresses off the rack with makeup on them, spray tan marks, and pulls from engagement rings.
I had a great day yesterday selecting 2014/15 bridal gowns. I'm excited to have chosen sizes for plus size brides. This is something I have been interested in for a while since I opened Accapella Bridal.
My bride Amber loved the Justin Alexander bridal gowns. Amber decided to spend Australia Day with her bridesmaid and travel to Wollongong to my boutique to find her dress. After trying on a few gowns she knew which one she wanted as her wedding gown. I said to the girls " with our beaches there are a lot of celebrations happening around the Harbour". I suggestion a couple of place for lunch in Wollongong .
My bride wanted and vintage lace wedding dress for her wedding in Hamilton Island. I have so many brides that choose their wedding dress to suit their destination wedding venue, and at times they're not happy as they want the big princess dress. This bride went for her dream dress no matter how hard it would be to get the dress in the plane flight to Hamilton Island weddings. The Sabrina neckline in lace, fitted to hips. The skirt in a spot tulle and lace with godets in the skirt.
Hi Brides, This bride came in a month ago looking for a 3/4 length dress as she wanted to see her shoes, she also wanted it simple with not a lot of bling. Her wedding is early next year so she had to buy off the rack. When a bride comes in to buy off the rack I have to consider the alterations and try and get a dress closest to her size.
Hi Brides, This week I would like to share this photo of an actual bride in a Sincerity Bridal dress, as to put it on the mannequin would not do the superb fit of this dress any justice. This particular bride wanted a lace vintage style dress. She tried many on. I looked at her body shape and asked her if she would put this dress on for me.
Fara Sposa 5211 This dress only arrived that morning that Carla made her appointment to try dresses on, I had not steamed it or priced the wedding dress. Carla had described what she wanted to me and I turned around and said this dress has just arrived. As soon as Carla put in on she knew it was the one even though it was way too big for her. Carla's wedding was at Hamilton Island . I'm happy she went for a vintage traditional dress. I find quite a few brides choose their wedding dress for destination. The wedding photos are a lifetime always go for your dream dress.
Bridal gowns on line. I'm writing to warn brides that buy cheap wedding dresses on line. I would know all about it as I have brides in all the time for me to try and structure the gowns as the fit is never right. I have seen so many and altered so many. The fabric is so cheap when I go to press the wedding dress especially the white if water drips on the dress there is a purple stain that's the cheap chemicals in the fabric when I press the gown with my steam iron the smell is overwhelming.
