Alteration of the Week - Esssense of Australia dress D1615. Hi Brides to Be. I try to take photos of a bride’s dress both before and after alterations, so they can clearly see the changes I have made.
The added bonus of this record is that I can also show these pictures to other clients to illustrate what I mean when I suggest alterations.
This bride felt that there was too much tulle fabric in the skirt of the dress. By removing the tulle godets (triangle inserts of fabric that are used
to increase the breadth of a skirt), the dress is left with a sleek A-line shape. A belt adorns and defines the waist.
