Hi brides to be, I would like to share this experience. This bride rang me months ago and said she loves all the Justin Alexander collections and where she lives I'm the nearest stockist. She rang me a few times as she lives 6hrs away, every time she rang she always enquired about 9721. I didn't have that dress, sometimes when I don't have it I can get it on loan for the bride to try on.This particular dress 9721 I couldn't get it but I said I have 8641 Justin Alexander which is similar but the 9721 is in a Guipure lace. I had some Guipure/Venice lace left over from years of sewing, I can pin it on you and we can imagine what the dress would be like.
Her appointment was May 31st at 9am she tried on 8641 which is what I had that was similar. I pinned my Guipure lace to her with the photo of 9721 on my iPad zooming in to the dress. I explained everything about the dress I rang my supplier that had seen this dress in New York at the bridal showing asking her every question I possibly could about the dress. I said to my bride you travelled so far go and have a coffee and something eat and think about everything I have said look at the dress on your iPad,and come back at 2pm.
She came back and said I have had that dress on my mind since I rang you the first time I'm going with it. I felt she was doing the right thing but I don't want to pressure my brides as it's about feeling great with what they have chosen.
When her dress arrived I couldn't help but take photo of it and text my bride. She came in to try it on a couple of weeks ago and loved it and that fact that no one else has ordered that dress she said to me "Connie it's exactly how I imagine it would be you helped me visualize it exactly". As her wedding is next year you will have to wait till then to see photos . I feel that with my experience as a seamstress this made it easier for my bride to be comfortable with her decisions in choosing a gown she hadn't tried on.
