Some things (like some dresses) are just meant to be!. I had a bride return to my boutique. She came in for the first time earlier this year. There were two gowns she loved, but she was at the early stages of shopping around. Her wedding isn’t until October 2016!
However, the bride-to-be already appeared overwhelmed by the experience of bridal shopping. So I mentioned I was going to London in May and said there
will be more to choose from when I return. I said, “I know you’re going to look around further and the pressure might get to you. But, if you want
to wait until I come back, I’ll have the new collection of styles to choose from.”
I got a text last month saying, “Connie I want to try a few dresses on.” Her name seemed familiar, but I couldn’t put a face to it. When she came in
last week, I said, “Oh, you’ve come back!” Her Mum replied, “Of course we did! You were right! The pressure from sales assistants at other bridal
shops was just too much. They were so pushy.”
The bride then proceeded to try on the two gowns she had loved from her previous visit. I remembered which ones they were. I said, “Try this dress
on. This one only came in a couple of weeks ago.” She tried it on and as you can see…WOW!!!!. “Just as well you listened to me and came
back,” I said. “This dress must have been waiting for you!”
