A First Look at Yedyna YD18341

Yedyna YD18341 is so new that it does not even have an official name yet.

An exclusive first look at Accapella Bridal

The gown was not ready in time for Yedyna's latest campaign photoshoot, so its official name and images will not be released until September. For now, we are delighted to share a very special behind-the-scenes look at our Accapella Bridal sample while it is being created.

One of the reasons I travel overseas to view new bridal collections is that photographs never tell me the whole story.

From Rome to Wollongong

I want to see each gown on a model, watch how it moves and examine its construction. Most importantly, seeing a gown in person allows me to decide whether any thoughtful changes are needed before I order a sample for Accapella Bridal.

I first saw YD18341 at Yedyna's collection showing in Rome in February. I immediately loved its clean, timeless design—the beautifully simple strapless neckline, fitted bodice and dramatic full skirt.

However, when I saw the gown on the model, I felt the bodice needed more internal support to properly balance the weight and fullness of the skirt.

“What is hidden inside a wedding gown is just as important as what you see on the outside.”

Strengthening the Hidden Structure

With my many years of experience as a bridal seamstress, I understand how much work the internal construction of a gown is doing. The boning, waist support and balance of the bodice determine how securely the gown sits and how comfortable the bride feels wearing it.

For our Accapella sample, I asked Yedyna to strengthen the gown's internal construction in two important ways:

Additional boning throughout the bodice
This gives the strapless bodice greater support, improves its shape and helps it remain securely positioned on the body.

An internal waist belt
The belt anchors the gown firmly at the waist, supports the weight of the full skirt and creates a more defined, flattering silhouette.

The photographs show this additional work being completed inside our gown. Once YD18341 is finished, none of this structure will be visible—but the bride will certainly feel the difference when she wears it.

Why I Personally Select Our Gowns

This is why I prefer to travel and personally select many of our gowns. I can look at every design through the eyes of both a bridal boutique owner and a dressmaker.

It also allows me to request changes before our samples arrive, helping me achieve a more supportive and flattering fit when it is time to alter the gown for one of our brides.

YD18341 may look beautifully minimal from the outside, but underneath is carefully considered structure designed to support, shape and hold the gown exactly where it should sit.

Selected and customised for Accapella Bridal

YD18341's official name and campaign images will be revealed in September. Until then, this first look offers a glimpse of what makes the gown so special—not only its elegant design, but the carefully planned construction beneath it.

Sometimes, it is what you cannot see that makes all the difference.
